American Indie We totally have a tagline: "Blogging independent arts, pop-culture, and activism: grassroots rocks harder." It's an emerging blog. We interview indie musicians, artists, activists, filmmakers, crafty types, etc - anyone who is working hard to get their stuff seen and heard. Contrary to the title, we're not focused on American artists - we've featured different people from various parts of the globe and want to continue that. We focus on independent artists/activists because we want to help people who don't have major backing in place get the word out about their projects, but we also work with less obscure folks (coming up we have Metric, and Arj Barker from Flight of the Conchords, for instance). We really want to feature more activists so we're looking for people who are working to make a difference as well. Essentially, it's a blog full of eclectic goodness - a little something for everyone, we hope!
