Tumbleweird is a free, monthly, alternative zine distributed in and around Washington state's Tri-City (Kennewick, Richland, Pasco) area.
My friend Logan and I started the zine last year. At that time, it was printed in black & white (regular copy paper folded in half with saddle stitch binding). In February 2017 we switched to a tabloid format (24 pages, 8 of them in color, about 15 inches by 10 inches, same binding). Every issue is available on our web site as a PDF. Its current tagline is "Your local liberal rag." It has comics, a crossword, horoscopes, art, local events, and articles.

MuckTweet: a browser extension for tracking your Twitter (abuse) reports
It's 2017 and Twitter's Arab Spring euphoria is long over. We've traded Gamergate for Pizzagate. Trump uses his account as a literal bully pulpit. Journalists receive death threats in 140 characters (well, now 280). Leslie Jones has been forced to perform double duty as a troll buster. And even Twitter co-founder Biz Stone struggles to get neo-Nazis booted. What's an ordinary user to do? Enter MuckTweet.

Clips for Hiking Poles with Hinge and Clasp
3D model of clips with a simple hinge and tension clasp. I designed these for my partner, who uses hiking poles for mobility but does not need to use both at all times. These clips allow a person to carry an unneeded pole on the one being used, keeping the other hand free.

Wrestling Social - The Independent, Progressive, Pro Wrestling Community
Based on my convos at XOXO, on MeFi itself, and around the 'ol Mastodon and Twitter spheres, there are a decent number of Indieweb folks who enjoy the art form of pro wrestling as much as I do. The current places to discuss pro graps online are mostly corporate-owned "communities" whose primary purpose is to provide eyeballs for advertisers. Wrestling Social is different. We're independent, we have a Code of Conduct, and we're sticking to it. Registration is open.co

Play Payba¢k
Payba¢k is a game designed to help teens understand the costs of college BEFORE they begin applying. We made it to address an issue many families face: Kids have no idea how much college actually costs. Parents are super uncomfortable discussing finances with their kids. So too often, nobody talks, kids apply to schools they can't afford, parents stretch themselves too thin and everyone ends up disappointed.

Incredible Doom
Today my friend Matt and I are finally launching a new web & print comic series we’ve been working on for almost a year. It’s about teenagers in the '90s getting into life & death situations over the early Internet.

Annotated Chicken Slaughter
Our farmer friend culled his flock of chickens and we went out to help. I wrote up a description of how to turn a live chicken in to something resembling what you would pick up at the supermarket. Content warning: includes descriptions of killing and processing chickens. Photos are mostly gore-free but may not be appropriate for everyone.

Call Ahead
I hate making phone calls, so I made a service to do it for me. Is a restaurant open? Does a store carry something in stock? Just text us, and one of our VAs will call for you.

Peer inside container ships using a radio
This software library helps you capture AIS messages broadcast by passing ships and then to join them with public data sets that reveal what the ships are carrying.

Shtacks: Type a painting
I doodle on my iPad during my train commute. I finished painting the alphabet. So I made a site where you can type with paintings. Type in the grey text box to get an image. The image is resized to fit your browser window. On desktop browsers you can download the image as a PNG. Anything you type is appended to the URL, the back button works, and you can share the link with your image. Like this.

FatFinger.JS
FatFinger is a library that allows you to run JavaScript full of typos. It will look at your code, attempt to guess at your intent, and do its best to make the code runnable. Rather than a tool to clean up code, FatFinger encourages the programmer to leave the code full of errors and fully embrace the chaos of JavaScript.

The truth has got its boots on: an evidence-based response to James Damore's Google memo
In which I have a very, very thorough walk through the relevant literature about gender and the workplace, and.... uh, cite over a hundred peer reviewed works in doing so while I refute effectively ever point I can find in Mr. Damore's 'memo.' I'm currently working on getting the footnotes linked within the piece and getting a functional table of contents rolling, but this is up and linkable for anyone as of right this second. All effort has been made to find non-paywalled PDFs of all links cited in the document.

Snakehead Trade Whiskey
I made whiskey based on frontier and Wild West recipes that called for tobacco, leather, and hot peppers. As well as gunpowder and a rattlesnake head. This is the story of making and drinking what seemed like potentially poisonous thing I have ever ingested.

Film photography website get!
I'm a film photographer based in NYC and I finally bit the bullet, scanned a load of negatives, bought a URL + hosting, and put up a website. Mostly black and white (some color), mostly medium format (some 4x5 large format or 35mm), in a couple different genres. There's some moody street work, a fun hot sauce expo, NYC Pride 2016, and much more for your delectation. Enjoy and thanks for stopping by!

Rassler, an 8-bit pro wrestling RPG
A retro-inspired pro wrestling role playing game I've been working on, set in the territorial era of pro wrestling (the 60s-80s more or less). It's pay-what-you-can and will be forever.
