The 24 Hour Novel Project
Dream of writing a novel but can’t find time to write? How about setting aside just 1 day? I gathered a team of authors to compose a novel collaboratively in a day (May 28th) and you can watch via the web as every word is composed in real-time. The cover art will be created that day too, which you can observe via live video stream. The collaboration culminates in a free Creative Commons licensed e-book available for download the following day. Wish us luck. We'll need it.

Get the Web: A Book of the Best Foundational Essays About the Web
My friend and I are constantly recommending the same foundational essays--"1000 True Fans", "The Next Economy of Ideas" and so forth--to clients, colleagues, students and so forth. We thought it would be wise to compile these into a book--a toolkit for getting the web. Assuming we can secure author permissions, we'll publish an ebook and maybe a hardcopy version, donating any profits to the EFF. For now, we're looking for recommendations for your favorite essays about the web.

TED talks, on DVD
Recently I compiled a DVD of talks from the excellent TED.com as a thank you present for a friend. I figured that, since all the talks are released under a Creative Commons licence, I might as well make them available for download over the Internet. Thanks to some very helpful people over on Ask MeFi I got the format and such sorted, and as requested by a couple of people I've also collected the original TED mp4 files into a single torrent. So, head over to http://www.mcqn.net/tedtaster and grab yourself a copy.
