THE FLYING BIKE - an audio drama
My friend and I have created a 5-part audio drama about how a really bad Hollywood movie gets made. The story is told sequentially, in self-contained 30-minute pieces, from the perspectives of the writers, the producer, the script supervisor, the van driver, the assistant editor, and an audience member after the movie comes out. The first 30-minute piece took six months to produce (in our spare time with even sparer money), but I’m happy with how it turned out. We’re trying to decide if we want to record the rest of the episodes. I’m for it (as is the cast, etc.) but my friend’s not sure if people will be interested in listening to something like this. We would love any feedback you have to offer. Thank you!

Miss Gender — A Video Podcast About my Transition From One Gender to Another
Miss Gender is a video podcast created by Jay Frosting and me about about my transition from male to female. I’ve been contemplating my gender identity since I was 13 or 14 and, now in my mid-30s, I’ve started to get my head around the reality that I’m transgender.

Blogging a century of history in L.A.'s Skid Row
The 1947project time travel blog is thrilled to announce the launch of a very special new series, The Union Rescue Mission at In SRO Land. Past 1947project blogs have always been based in historic newspaper research. That changes today, with the debut of the first 1947project blog series based entirely on original research in an historic, significant--and previously unknown--Downtown L.A. archive, that of the Union Rescue Mission.

Free kitten with every project?
The animal non-profits I work with are always short on funds for spay/neuter, transport, boarding, you name it. The gist of the idea we had was for our business to offer special packages for web sites, and a portion of the project fee would be donated to the partner charity. The non-profits love it, my accountant says its legal, but I could use feedback on the idea, the presentation, ways to attract some attention in the surrounding community - anything.

The Carter Family Project
We're recording every single song the Carter Family ever cut. In order. One per day. In one or two takes. And we've got to get it done during naptime.

No Poster Girl. Life With Severe ME/CFS: A bed-lyin', pill-poppin', muscle-wastin' good time.
I developed myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome in 2004, and I've been bedridden because of it since 2007. Having gotten a little bit of improvement in the last year or so from the intensive attention of a prominent specialist, I've been able to be online more. And with that, I realized that though I interact frequently with friends via social networking, almost nobody outside my family and very close friends knew what the disease had done to me - or much about it in general. I didn't like that that was the case, and so No Poster Girl was born.

Play SPENT: Can you make it through the month?
My agency created this game for a local poverty services non-profit. Too many people assume that being poor is the result of a moral failing or laziness. Hopefully SPENT challenges those assumptions.

Learn to play by ear online.
So I was looking to improve my aural skills, and instead of doing some ear training ended up creating this site with excercises.

Bullet in a Quiver
Just self-released my debut LP, Bullet in a Quiver, and thought that fellow MeFites might appreciate it! It's a completely DIY affair, recorded at home in Minneapolis and in the Harvard Lampoon's semi-secret castle headquarters while it was drained of people for spring break. It's a sort of a concept album about cats, hues, prime numbers, alien invasion, and subprime lending, so if you are interested any of those things, however vaguely, by all means, check it out and pass it along! It is free, so ⌘C/⌘V away.

Without a Net: Librarians Bridging the Digital Divide
I wrote a book! It's at the printers. I made a website for it that contains the appendix, some supporting information/handouts/links and some other stuff. I used the INFLUX one-pager design (thanks ArcAm) and then I tampered with it. It's fine if you don't buy it. I'm just so happy it's finished.
