radio free #mofirc
This is a small online radio station created by #mofirc (the IRC channel loosely associated with Monkeyfilter; some of us are dual MeFi/MoFi members). We maintain 24/7 uptime and play something for everyone: our DJs broadcast whatever they like! This is our broadcast schedule (we do not fill all the slots in advance, sometimes we broadcast on the fly with whoever is currently available in channel); and you can read more about our station on the MoFi wiki. (We were inspired by Radio MeCha a while back, so, props!)

Houseblogs.net Community
This is a major upgrade to a site we started in Jan '05. Use the 'community' link at the top to get to the new stuff. The web 2.0 description would probably be "a blog-centric social networking site for home improvement enthusiasts" but in normal-speak it's a site for people to find and share home improvement stories and projects. We started the site after two years of writing our own 'houseblog' about restoring an old bungalow in Chicago called House in Progress.

The Punch Below The Belt
Inspired by crunchland's awesome "How To Spot A Jap" link, I dug out an old similarly themed US propaganda/military training pamphlet I had, scanned it in, and used AskMe to solicit help in hosting the images. Fake promptly leapt to the rescue and did a fantastic job using Lightbox to post the entire text.

To Build a Ukulele
It's only a blog, but I know many of you will be interested. I'm in Honolulu for two weeks building a ukulele in a workshop class, during which time I'll be updating the blog daily.

Weather Log
This my entry in yesterday's RailsDay contest. It fetches weather forecasts for your zip code and gives you a place to record the real data from your thermometer, rain gauge, etc. It also graphs your data for you. There was a few more features I wanted to add, but I only had 24 hours, you know?

Ask A Japanese Person
You give me the questions, and I go out and ask them to Japanese people (mostly in Tokyo). Then I add subtitles and post the videos online. Just waiting for some questions...

ZoneFlood
Fellow mefite ericb and I have teamed up to do a blog called ZoneFlood. The idea is to focus on just one story, and keep posting links just on that one subject until the next big story comes along. The name comes from the 'Flood the Zone" news concept, which you can read more about on the About page of the site. Anyone who wants to join us is encouraged to use the emails in our profiles, or just leave a comment on the blog somewhere.

Venezuelan Beaver Cheese
On November 30, 1972 Monty Python's Flying Circus aired the Cheese Shop sketch. In the sketch 43 different cheeses are mentioned, including Venezuelan Beaver Cheese. The goal of BeaverCheese.org will be to explore those 43 cheeses in depth. Lots of cheeses to still review, but it's solidly up and running. I want to give this website some legs, so feedback on making it more than just a one-off joke would be appreciated.

Amorphia Apparel
"Look on my shirts, ye mighty, and despair!" One day, a few years ago, I woke up and decided I no longer wanted to wear any clothes with words/designs I didn't make myself. So I started designing my own T-shirts and the people around me really seemed to like them, so I figured 'what the hell' why not try opening an online shirt shop. I like things a little more oblique or deadpan then most "funny shirt" sites, and I think it does a good job of reflecting my sensibilities. I hope you like 'em.

Inspired by the Great Outdoor Fight story arc in Achewood and the URL seen in the first strip of the story, the GOF wiki will allow the community to fill in the fictional history of The Fight.

pulk-pull*: an on-going investigation of the music and art of Radiohead
This is not a new project, but it might be new to readers here--I've been doing it since early 2001. Eventually this became a book project (a collection of essays by myself and others--in other words, better essays by others than myself) published in 2005 and now it lies fallow for various reasons. But with Radiohead rehearsing as I write this, that should change soon and I will get to, as Ezra Pound said, make it new.
