Dirty dirty dirty things
Vaguely NSFW, here is my blog, "The Dirtiest Thing in the Whole Wide World," detailing my interest in naughty popular culture, mostly from the middle of the 20th century.

faster - a flickr game
Fastr is a game that uses flickr images. It loads ten images that all share a common tag, one by one, and you guess what the tag is. When you guess right, the tag will turn blue. Then you can watch the pictures until the next set begins. The faster you guess, the more points you get. The points are reset every five minutes.

El Boton
"An inch of love for everyone." Limited edition sets of 1" buttons. We're offering one set a month, each with a different theme or designer.

The first set was icons for each of Chicago's train lines. Set #2 is by well-known web designers. The sets come packaged with a series card and an El Boton logo button, which itself is being produced in batches, each batch with a different color combo. Fun little things to decorate your jacket or laptop bag!

GoalMine - Sharing the Beautiful Game
I live in the US, so it's nearly impossible to see soccer highlights on television. YouTube and Google Video have provided a welcome source, but even then, searching through thousands of videos for the right highlights can be tedious. GoalMine is intended as a database - and eventually, community - for shared goal clips and researching information about those goals. You can search the video database by goalscorer, club, opposition, competition, and goal type. Also, users can register - free - to add goal clips they've found, rate goals, and find the top rated goals in the database. More features coming soon. Feedback (and more goals) welcome!

Football Filter
An online community a la digg that concentrates on quality links on the world of football (soccer). I hope I don't get blasted for using filter in the title but I used it to signify the site letting through only worthwhile articles, vids, photos, news etc on the world of footy....sorry Monsieur Haughey, it was genuinely unconscious! I hope you will take it as a compliment..... I don't know about you but I always have a moment in my day where I have to doss, pure unadulterated time wasting to save my sanity from my job as a consultant. Usual time wasters are MeFi and facebook and football based websites. The idea behind my website is to make the most of that time; to read some quality articles, check out the latest highlights that aren't shit. Obviously my mission is to get as many people to join and partake and at the moment my main worry is the lack of contribution! One step at a time tho..... That is all, p.s yes at some point I will change the original pligg template, just concentrating on the content for the time being - and I have very little programming ability, I am dreading trying to figure it out.

The Money Meltdown
After much digging, I still couldn't find a site that clearly and concisely pointed me to good information on our financial crisis. So I've attempted to make one.

Ping Pong Balls
Are you sick of thinking up jokes with no punchlines? Because everyone knows everything is better when decided by committee, we here at Ping Pong Balls create new jokes as a community. We supply the punchline and you create the set up. Then a new joke is formed, but backwards. It's like Jeopardy for jokes. That's it. Nobody wins anything except for the satisfaction that your joke was probably the best one submitted.

Sickr - Share your sickness, save the world.
Sickr is a crowd-sourced method of studying outbreaks and the spread of diseases. All it requires is for one to answer 3-5 questions about your current/previous illness and an optional list of symptoms. No guessing is required, no diagnosis needed. All information collected is available to everyone and we'll be working on posting disease trends that can be identified by data analysis.

140x140
I've started a Twitter account with one goal in mind: Creating the perfect account. So I'm writing 140 entries, each 140 chars exactly, while all entries regard one thing only: Twitter itself. This is an experiment in writing, user experience, social media theory, and useless fun. Check out 140x140. RT your support! :)
