Endless Waves: Colorado Surfing

River surfing is a relatively new sport, and information about it is pretty scattered, particularly when it comes to where and when you can surf. So I've put together a guidebook for Colorado (hopefully expanding to the surrounding area), as well as articles and guides for river surfing newbies. We even have swag.

Elwha: Roaring back to life

The Elwha river was the world's largest dam removal project, with the first dam removed in 2011 and the second in 2014. Since then, the watershed has changed dramatically, almost entirely for the better. [more inside]

Vector tile river map

I made a tutorial for open source maps with vector tiles. The result is a slippy map of American rivers and some pretty static maps of every US river. But my real goal is the tutorial source code, to help other developers learn to make their own vector maps from geographic data.
