Corwin Bolt and the Wingnuts at Bridge City Sessions
Live in studio recordings of original junkyard jazz, jangly jive, and ragtime residue. Featuring four brand-new tunes: "Hold on Tight" (a screwloose comedy heist), "Minneola" (a loving tribute to any city or town that happens to be named Min[n]eola), "Paradeiolia" (the tendency to perceive a specific, often meaningful image in a random or ambiguous visual pattern), and "Mrs Johnson" (a western klezmer veterinary odyssey). Recorded spring 2024 at Bridge City Sessions. [more inside]
Music Video and Vinyl!
I'm excited to share my first music video and vinyl release, featuring incredible puppets and miniatures by my talented friend Jon David Russell (who also recorded and produced the album). The vinyl can be pre-ordered at seththomas.bandcamp.com. [more inside]
Music Video for Starfield Tectonics
I directed this new music video for Andrew M. Edwards' new song Starfield Tectonics.
Noon All Year ... and more
3350 days ago I posted to Metafilter Project a timelapse music video about the founding year of our little sheep farm in Vermont. Since then, the camera equipment has definitely improved ... and the videos have gotten significantly shorter.*
Most importantly, the view is still awesome. [more inside]
Official music video for the first song from my debut solo album
This music video is for the song Make Do, which is track 1 on my forthcoming debut solo electronic music album, Beat Smoothie. [more inside]
“Can’t Feel Your Pulse”
A medical school music video parody of "Can't Feel My Face" by The Weeknd. (These parody music videos are a thing at med schools right now, and mine is no exception.) Simultaneously kept me sane and drove me crazy while I was learning cardiology over the past few weeks. The lyrics are in the video description on the youtube page. If you have any familiarity with med school, pay attention to the details on screens and whiteboards in the video for additional jokes.
Oh My
I am very happy to announce that the music video I was slaving away over in February and March has just come out! Made for The Animators, out of Melbourne, it features a chase through the snow, some magical realism, a very cute animal, and a whole lot of painted plastic cut-outs. I have some stills and 'making of' pictures on my blog.
Rap video
I helped make a music video for Winnipeg rapper Employee of the Month. The gimmick for the video is there are gig-posters with the lyrics on them.
Missy Elliott's "Work It" collides with Beyoncé's "Partition"
WORK partITion is a video mashup of two songs that somehow got stuck in my head as one. It ended up being kinda tight. There's something cool about Bey's exploitation fantasy cut with Missy's empowerment fantasy.
GYPSY - KIM BOEKBINDER
I directed and edited a music video for musician Kim Boekbinder for the song "Gypsy" off her The Impossible Girl album. Metafilter gets a shout-out!
Kogumaza - Bells music video
A ten minute experimental music video I've been working on for the past few months for drone/rock band Kogumaza.
Music Video for 'Cold Dip'
Had trouble sleeping last night so I made this little music video for my music project Sauna Sounds. It's made out of footage shot in 2009 by Evy Adamson of me, Vax Podsiadlo and Willa Simmet throwing around a large block of wood. Aaron Good (MonsieurBon) played drums and recorded the song with me. Thanks for watching!
If you liked the song, I do have a very primitive facebook page set up. Here is an older version of the same song.
Animted Video for Rotate the Completor #6
