BrainTripping: Markov-chain your own path through the words of famous people.

Step inside the "brain" of Jesus, the Pope, Kurt Cobain, or Tupac to come up with your own sentences and stories. Words are suggested based on the language patterns of the brain (and you are limited to their vocabulary). There's a learning curve, but once you get past it, hilarious times can be had. Read my introduction post or check out the tutorial to get started. [more inside]

Otto, Protector of the North Woods

is my latest comic venture. An existential horror-comedy set in northern Minnesota on the shores of Lake Superior, it just wrapped its first storyline, which features a gang of foul-mouthed ghost sailors.

Blogologues: Younger Than Springtime

Hi all! Our company has been experimenting with this crazy comedy project in which we perform the internet, completely verbatim. We've done a bunch of one-night engagements of the project with new themes every time, and for the first time ever we have a 16-performance run. We're performing weekends through May 5th in the west village of NYC. [more inside]

Elevator Madness

In our latest improv short, my wife, Adria Dawn and I explore what happens when a pregnant woman gets trapped with a self-proclaimed pregnancy expert. This is a slightly twisted take on how soon-to-be parents really feel sometimes. We hope you enjoy it.

Goodbye Kitty

This short horror-comedy film, Goodbye Kitty, which I helped produce, was originally created for a weekend shorts contest that involved writing, shooting, and editing the entire film in 51 hours. This is a more refined version of the film after a little more time was spent on post-production. [more inside]

WTF with Marc Maron: the Public Radio Show

WTF is a popular podcast hosted by comedian Marc Maron. He interviews comics (and once in a while non-comics) about their lives and how their minds work, and generates really amazing insights. Since I'm a public radio producer, I talked Marc into making a limited-run public radio series out of some of the best episodes of the show. My colleague Nick White helped. You can listen to (and review) the episodes at PRX.org.

For over a year now, I've co-edited a blog collecting the best hilariously bad entries from wikipedia (previously discussed in the blue here.) Now I've decided to try and turn it into a comedy podcast! The first episode is up now.

The Bar Scene Webseries

I hope you'll check out www.thebarsceneseries.com, a new webseries about four twenty-somethings debating bar-appropriate "survey questions". Each webisode's survey question reveals a little more about each character and his/her own relationship woes. From preferred underwear on a partner, to theories of The One, this series is a light-hearted take on messy relationship and the healing salve of friends and beer.

Your Face is a Saxophone - a free animated comedy series

It's Super Bowl Sunday! What better day to make fun of advertising? Your Face is a Saxophone is an animated comedy series about the advertising industry, and the people who work in it because they couldn't find a job in what they actually went to art school for. Also, everyone has inanimate objects instead of heads for some reason. [more inside]

Business Flannel Sketch Comedy

My friends and I, unimpressed with the state of internet comedy, started our very own sketch comedy group. After 4 months spent writing, acting, producing, and editing, our first 12 videos are finally hitting the internet, one week at a time.

"Music for Supervillains": Lab rock at its finest.

My buddy Doctor Pinkerton, mad scientist supreme, just released his latest album. It's fourteen tracks of genre-leaping silliness, with a comic-book style cover by yours truly. And if you can make it to the release party in New Orleans this Saturday, you can get a free comic book based on the album, too!
