So, is there any proof that apartments really are renting out for obscene (> $500/night, say) amounts for inauguration? I know there's a ton of craigslist postings, but is anyone actually renting?

Neat site, too.

I'd definitely say that some people are renting out there homes for more than $500 a night and some of the larger homes can start getting ridiculous numbers. However, all the craigslists ads with $7k a night studios 20 minutes outside the city are delusional.

HotPads is good for the listers because they can see what everyone else is charging in the area and price their listings accordingly.

The Inaugural Housing Search really benefits those looking for homes too because we give them alot of information about each property and the neighborhood. Therefore, they can see if they are being charged ridiculous amounts to stay really far from the city. They can also look up the median rent in an area and compare it to the amount being charged. Basically, we just want to ensure that the transaction goes as smoothly as possible with everyone having equal access to information.

Glad you liked it!
