LearnTechLib - The Learning & Technology Library
The Learning and Technology Library is an online digital library of over 100,000 journal articles, conference papers, ebooks, and dissertation abstracts all focused on the use of technology in learning and education.

Although some resources require a subscription to access, a good portion of the content is open access and/or free. Let me know if you're interested in a trial subscription and I'll look into hooking you up.

If you're into metadata and XML, we have an OAI-PMH feed of the entire database at data.learntechlib.org.

If you have a published, peer-reviewed work that you'd like to be included in the library, we take author submissions. It may take a while for them to be processed; if you do submit something and don't hear back, send me a memail.

If you know of a journal that should be included in our library but currently isn't, please comment below.

This is one of the main websites for the non-profit where I work. I'm responsible for the design, planning, coding, databases and hosting. This website has been around for years but today we relaunched it with a new name and redesign. I've actually wanted to share it here on Projects for a while but it never seemed like the right moment.

On the whole I'd say working on this website has opened me up to a lot of new interests, first and foremost of course the intersection between learning and technology. In a way it's a perfect fit because I love teaching and learning and I've been mildly obsessed with computers from a young age.

Tech Specs (just in case anyone is interested):
  • Coldfusion running on Railo application server/nginx
  • Search engine is Elasticsearch with a custom wrapper
  • Database is SQL Server
  • Website is running on load-balanced Linux servers on AWS
  • Backend admin and utilites are mostly Python/Django
Role: Full-stack developer
