Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality PDF
I've finished updating the PDF version of Harry Potter and the Methods of Rationality to incorporate all the changes the author made after the chapters in the current PDF were formatted, just in time for the posting of the final story arc: 5.3MB PDF
Eliezer Yudkowsky has been writing HPMOR (previously) for the last five years. At one point, a fan made a book-style PDF and kept adding chapters as they were posted, through chapter 95. Unfortunately, Yudkowsky kept going back and revising chapters after posting them, so early chapters in the PDF are out of sync with the source story. Also, the story is up to chapter 103 now.
I've forked the github repository the original LaTeX compiler made of his work and replaced all the text with the current story text. And I've created a workflow to make it easier to detect and reformat any revisions Yudkowsky might make after a chapter has been added to the PDF, so it doesn't fall out of sync again.
Just in time, too: the final 17 chapters of the book start posting tomorrow, with the final chapter scheduled to post on March 14. I'll be keeping the PDF up to date, usually within a few hours of the new chapters posting. The newest PDF will always be linked from the front page of hpmor.com.
I'm not 100% happy with the formatting yet, so if there are any LaTeXperts (or book designers) who have suggestions, the main link here is to the git repository where you can clone your own copy, submit pull requests, or just file a change request as a bug/issue.
