The Geography Of Hope
I'm a writer (as loyal Metatalk readers already know). My new book is a global survey of the state-of-the-art in sustainable living, and this is the making-of blog. I write as much of the content therein as I can muster; my wife's a much more diligent blogger, so she frequently fills in the gaps. (e.g.) The wicked-cool old-timey cartouche banner comes courtesy of Nick Springer of Springer Cartographics, best known as the maker of all the maps that appear in Neal Stephenson's Baroque trilogy. We're keen to revamp the rest of the design to match, but neither of us has the code fu and our previous designer has moved on to more pressing engagements. If you're interested, this offer is hereby reissued. We could really use the help. (Contact me at the email address in my profile.) Look for the book sometime in 2007.
