I suggest adding an "about" link in the login page - I'm not super excited about making a new account for something when I have almost no idea what it is. Not knowing isn't a huge barrier, but then I have no particular incentive either.

apparently we had a problem caching the login page instead of the real home page, so it might make more sense now. thanks, salvor!

Another suggestion. The tags are only links on the front page. They should really be links everywhere. So if I'm on the tv page and want to see all the arrested development gifs, I can just click on that tag.

Other than that, I could see this being really fun.

The upload functionality is really easy and fast, which is awesome. I was afraid I'd be sitting around for five minutes waiting for my 20 or so gifs to upload.

Some comments:
-Once logged in, how do I browse gifs that aren't my own? I can't find the general search or the top 100 popular gifs.
-If my browser isn't wide enough, the "next" arrow on my gifs is way off to the side, past the end of the header and footer bars, which makes it hard to realize that there's anything further to the right.
-There's no "previous" arrow?

Ah! Yes, on my desktop I get the real homepage; on my iPhone I get a login screen instead.
