I have a big honkin' encyclopedic book of science from 1902, and I blog one excerpt from it every day.

The topics so far have ranged from an absent-minded moment Newton had to bloodflow to the brain to estimates of how many species there are in the world and how batteries work (well, roughly), and I'm only on the A's so far. The changes between the state of science then and now are pretty interesting to look over. Please let me know if you like it, or have any suggestions for improvement, and especially if you notice something I got wrong in my commentary -- I am far from a history of science expert, and can only check so deeply on the internet.

If the book is at all cool looking you should put an image of the book itself up.
