Cooking With Food

My "cooking show," done as a video-blog, emphasizing fresh ingredients, inspired by the writings of Michael Pollan.

I was inspired by the writings of Michael Pollan to start cooking and eating healthier, using real food ingredients instead of what he calls "edible food-like substances." So I started this videoblog where I demonstrate recipes that avoid mixes or canned soups, and try to focus on fresh, whole food ingredients - thus the title. At the end of each video I review the cost of all the ingredients, to show that cooking mostly from scratch doesn't have to be expensive or difficult.

Love the name and concept. And love that we are in the day and age when someone can think "I want to start a cooking show" and just go and do it.

Thanks, I will look into that! I'm also still trying to work on my "stage presence" or whatever it's called. Trying to be a bit less stiff, etc. I'm certainly no Nigella Lawson, but hopefully I'll improve a bit as time goes on.

This is great! My girl and I have been talking about doing something like this for some time, but I think it's one of those things that will stay in "wouldn't it be fun" land forever. Good job on actually taking the initiative and getting it done.
