NYC MeFites: Get SPLICE'd with Maxx Klaxon
This Sunday, electropop revolutionary (and closet MeFite) Maxx Klaxon -- with help from Marlene Mars on keyboard and vox -- kicks off the very first edition of SPLICE! SPLICE is a new bi-weekly showcase of the best live acts from NYC's electronic underground. There's no cover and no attitude... just the finest in eclectic, plugged-in sounds. Join us on Sunday, April 30 (May Day Eve) at Solas in the East Village, for a sensational set of what the kids on MetaFilter are calling Maxx's "ass-bumping orwello-euro electropop!" P.S. Three words for Sopranos fans: 1. Reruns, 2. Tivo, 3. Bittorrent. LIVE: Maxx Klaxon with Marlene Mars PLUS: DJ Riley, spinning Italo-disco and other classics Sunday, April 30, 2006 9 pm FREE SPLICE @ Solas 232 E 9th St. (between 2nd and 3rd Aves. - 1 block north of St. Marks) East Village, Manhattan 6 to Astor Place L to 1st Ave. or 3rd Ave. N/R to 8th St. More Info
