The Straight Choice
Site to keep track of election leaflets in the UK General and Local Elections 2010. All the leaflets have been used to create a zoomable mosaic, viewable on the home page.

I really like this. I'm not a big follower of British politics, but this is quite great. I'd love to see something like this for US politics. My big question is, how did you "market" the site and get people to send in leaflets? 6,000 or so is quite a lot!

Also, are these flyers handed out on the street, or mailers, or both? Looks like there may be redacted addresses on some of them, so I'm guessing at least some (if not most) of them are mailers.

It would nice to run OCR on the leaflets, and then let users search through them for particular phrases or keywords.
