Slow Art Day
is an international happening that virally creates a different kind of museum experience. Instead of rushing through the galleries trying to see every wing and every genre, you show up at the museum at a set time, look at a small number of artworks for a long time, then meet the others who have come out for a discussion.

The website is new; this is the second year of the project, and it has been running through FaceBook until now and still relies on Facebook to organize the project.

This isn't my project, but I am a participant host. I think it's a great idea, but the web interface is kind of wonky.

I'm a big fan of this ever since I started to get Serious Church Fatigue in Italy. Audio Tours have helped a lot but man they can vary WIDELY in quality.
