Design Aviary - Harnessing Twitter for Designer's Sake
This is an in-house I developed for the creative (marketing, design) agency I work for. We thought it would be helpful to others as well. It tracks the latest Twitter comments (tweets) related to a variety of design topics: inspiration, gigs & jobs, design fail, trends and tips & tools. If you do have a Twitter account it's a good way to find people to follow that tweet about design. If you don't have time to mess with twitter it's a great way to stay in the loop with the design community there, or just find something inspirational or see what big design news is going to break next. I spent a lot of time on the GUI, since this is for designers. I hope you like it!

I love that you called it an aviary.

Thanks. We spent a lot of time on the name and logo. Probably too much considering it's kind of a side project, but we're all pleased with how it turned out. I'm glad that you like it.

Love the idea utterly... I subscribe to an awful /awful/ lot of design related RSS feeds, and often feel utterly overwhelmed, particularly when looking for inspiration. [That's nice! No! /That's/ nicer!] This way I get a nice whack of pieces with no intermediate thumbnail. And useful for getting crits as well...
