Frogpress - A project investigating the Internet as a community based collaborative news generator.
Frogpress.org is a collaborative news project that aims to initiate offline distribution of online news. The project was born on the premise that information and its communication online tends to stay online. Of particular notice when developing the project news relating to technology and scientific issues appeared highly niche and only accessible via disbanded blogs and high end user sites. The given perspective thus helped shape the approach to frogpress and its distribution method. Currently frogpress is inviting submissions from any user or groups including artworks, comics, articles, discussions and text from various sites who have expressly granted permission to re-distribute content. Once distributed the paper should invite a community usage involving commentary on articles using a web style comments box, sharing of the paper and an open invitation for readers to actively contribute. The project is a non-profit initiative, and is actively seeking valued contributors. For further information please visit – www.frogpress.org
