Author New Books Watchlist
This simple Unix script is an author watchlist. It will email you whenever a new book comes out by an author(s) on your watchlist. Keep track of your favorite/obscure authors without relying on the luck of popular media or trips to the book store to discover when new books come out. It uses LibraryThing for a database, but you don't need an account there to run the script.

Cool, but how do you use it? Or is that a n00b question? I have a Mac, but that has a unix base, right?

It's a csh script, for Unix. It should work on a Mac, since Mac's have a unix shell. Click on the file "nb", cut and paste it into a file on your system, run it from the command line or cron, per instructions in nb.txt
