Fuelly: share and compare your mpg
Fuelly is a new site built by me and pb to help you track your gas mileage, allowing comparisons with EPA estimates, and other people driving the same car.

There are many tools out there to do MPG tracking, but we thought we could do something interesting around community aspects and among friends. So try it out, sign up, add your car, and start tracking your mileage.

That is pretty neat.

Of course, since I fill up like once a month, it will be a while before I actually see any sexy statistics.

I recently made an Excel spreadsheet that does a very, very scaled down version of this, but this is infinitely better. Well done.

Cool! This is very timely. I'm just a few weeks into a new car, and am stepping down from a hybrid (Letting my daughter drive that). I have been using a google docs spreadsheet for this, but am pleased to try this as well.

Miles and Gallons mean nothing to me- needs a metric version.

No! You must make it U.S. only or them furriners will just keep reminding us how much more expensive gasoline is where they live!

As I said on Fuelly - as soon as I can text in my updates, it'll be perfect. Not all of us are lucky enough to have iPhones, you know :)

Now I just need a car.

Can I have a company car?

Thanks for this! I keep an Excel spreadsheet--sort of. Being able to compare data with friends and others with the same model might make me better about actually recording all the receipts I keep.

Seconding metric!

I've been doing the spread sheet thing too...which of course works fine...but this is more fun.

The best part I think is comparing what mileage other drivers with the same make and model car -- The "I'm a totally good driver, see? I have stats!" effect.

[This is good.]

Mentioning carpooling in the Tips section would be a nice addition.

Love the fuel nozzle mascot. And the ability to give my car a name.

Spiffy site. Thanks!

n-thing the suggestion to add a SMS/text-to-update feature!

Shouldn't fuelly be added as an "also on" option on MeFi profile pages? Just sayin' - don't shy away from promoting a nice site.

Great. Just waiting for metric support and my next fill-up to start using it.
